Description

The M29 is based on the M-Module ANSI mezzanine standard. It can be used as an I/O extension in any type of bus system, i.e. CPCI, PXI, VME or on any type of stand-alone SBC. Appropriate M-Module carrier cards in 3U, 6U and other formats are available from MEN or other manufacturers. The M29 is a low-cost output M-Module for process I/O. The integrated output driver provides overcurrent protection and thermal shutdown. Maximum power dissipation is limited to 1.3W at 70°C. This results in derating of the outputs to 50mA if all eight channels are permanently active for a long time. The output registers can be read back.
